PIANO CONTRASTS
A dialogue between Bach’s architectural clarity and Mussorgsky’s vivid musical imagination.
This evening marks the opening of a new concert cycle devoted to the expressive and stylistic diversity of the piano repertoire. Its first chapter brings together pianists Edward Sargsyan and Tigran Petrosyan.
A specially conceived projection and lighting design, developed using contemporary generative technologies, will unfold in parallel with the music, extending the cycle’s philosophy of contrast into the visual dimension.
Program:
• Modest Mussorgsky – Pictures at an Exhibition
• Johann Sebastian Bach – Works in transcriptions by Wilhelm Kempff, Alexander Siloti, Eugen d’Albert, Myra Hess and Egon Petri
Ticket price: 3,000 – 5,000 AMD
